Accessibility statement

RampCheck tests websites for accessibility, so this website should itself be usable by everyone. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

The service

You enter the address of a website. RampCheck loads its public pages in a browser, tests them automatically for accessibility defects and shows the result as a web page. The free scan covers 3 pages. The paid audit covers up to 50 pages and is paid for through our reseller, Lemon Squeezy. You do not need an account.

How we meet the requirements

• Every page is server-rendered HTML with headings, landmarks, a language attribute and a link to skip to the main content.
• Everything can be operated with a keyboard, and the focus is visible.
• Text and controls meet the level AA contrast requirements.
• While a scan runs, status changes are announced to screen readers.
• Reports are web pages, not PDF files, and can be zoomed, reflowed and printed.

How we tested

Every page template, including the reports, is tested automatically with axe-core against the rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA before each release — the same method we sell. The most recent test found no defects.

Automated testing covers only part of the requirements. A manual audit with screen readers by an independent assessor has not yet been carried out, so we do not claim full conformance.

Known limitations

• Reports quote code from the website that was audited. Those excerpts are as accessible or inaccessible as the audited page, and are shown as code, not run.
• Payment takes place on Lemon Squeezy’s pages, whose accessibility we do not control.
