Who this affects
Keyboard-only users, including people with motor impairments and many screen reader users.
Why it matters
Without a skip link, every page requires tabbing through the whole menu before reaching content. On a large navigation that is dozens of keystrokes per page, which makes a site exhausting to use.
How to fix it
Add a "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element, visually hidden until focused, targeting your <main> id.
