Who this affects

Screen reader users. Inline SVG icons are extremely common in modern sites and are silent by default.

Why it matters

Icon-only buttons built from inline SVG are announced as nothing at all, so a user cannot tell what the control does.

How to fix it

Give the <svg> role="img" and a <title> child element, or an aria-label. Decorative SVGs should carry aria-hidden="true".
